The 84th Annual Academy Awards red carpet sparkled from all the bling, but for me the styles and host Billy Crystal were underwhelming. Overall, most everybody looked good, but not great.

BestDressed

Michelle Williams. One word - stunning! She was jaw-dropping in a coral, strapless, peplum, tiered number by Louis Vuitton. While there are lots of details on this dress, it's just perfect

Milla Jovovich. The Oscars presenter wowed in a white, bejeweled, one-shouldered dress by Elie Saab Couture. Words cannot describe how entirely stunning this dress is on her.

Octavia Spencer. This is the completely best she's ever looked.

Ellie Kemper. The "Bridesmaids" star looked elegant in an Armani Prive copper strapless number.

Jennifer Lopez. She looks unbelievable in her Zuhair Murad dress with a plunging neckline.

Worst Dressed

Melissa McCarthy. The best supporting actress nominee she was a hot mess in her Grecian-inspired dress.

Emma Stone. "The Help" celebrity was a red alert in her Giambattista Valli costume.

Viola Davis. She wore a hunter green Vera Wang.
